QNUK Level 3 Award In Emergency First Aid at Work (Security) (RQF)

Who is this for?

The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification (EFAW) is the choice of many employers to ensure they are meeting the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981

For security professionals the Security Industry Authority (SIA) has the requirement that security officers and Door supervisors hold a suitable first aid qualification. This should include the management of Life-threatening bleeding.

With exposure to additional risk, including drink spiking and acid attacks and a need for awareness of mechanisms of injury in terror attacks, this is the perfect first aid qualification for those needing the most from their one day training.

Pre-Requisites:

This qualification is aimed at those over 16 who are able to undertake the responsibilities associated with being an emergency first aider. Those under 16 may undertake the qualification, however they should not be relied upon by employers to be a responsible first aider.

Due to the language of the assessment, it is recommended that learners have sufficient command of the English language in order to understand the assessment and to undertake the recommended assessment methods.

Attendees will be required to demonstrate First Aid procedures as they would in a real work environment. This includes providing CPR to a casualty who is on the floor, therefore be physically capable of doing so.
